Also, make sure the conversation can be extended past a \u201cthank you\u201d, by following up with a question or statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat leather briefcase looks great, I\u2019ve been searching for one that colour, where did you find it if you don\u2019t mind me asking?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ve offered a compliment, made a statement and followed up with a question.
