Our Refund Policy
Before Your Discovery Interview
Full refund available with more than 24 hours notice—no questions asked.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $75 fee, as your writer has already begun preparation for your interview.
After Your Discovery Interview
Refunds are not available because work begins immediately. Your writer has already invested time understanding your goals and developing your strategy.
After Receiving Your First Draft
Your writer has completed the strategic work. Your 14-day unlimited revision window is your opportunity to perfect your documents. This is when you work with your writer to refine every detail until you're completely satisfied.
After 90 Days
Your project is closed. If you didn't receive interviews and followed our guidelines, your 90-day guarantee would have provided a full rewrite at no cost.
Not Satisfied? We Work With You.
We go above and beyond for every client. If something isn't right, talk to us. We listen, we accommodate, and most importantly—we work with you until you're confident in your resume.
That said, we ask that you trust our 25 years of experience. If we advise against a change because it will weaken your resume's impact, we hope you'll consider our perspective. Our goal is the same as yours: getting you interviews.
What You're Investing In
Your fee covers far more than a finished document. It includes:
- A dedicated writer who studies your target jobs before your interview
- A comprehensive discovery interview to understand where you are and where you want to go
- Strategic positioning based on 25 years of experience and over 100,000 client success stories since 2003
- Professional writing, formatting, and ATS optimization
- Unlimited chat access to your writer in your online workspace—before and after your interview
- 14 days of unlimited revisions (by email or phone, depending on your package)
- Our 90-day interview guarantee
What to Expect From Your First Draft
Because we conduct an in-depth discovery interview, first drafts are typically 80% of the way there. The strategic work—understanding your goals, analyzing your target roles, and positioning your value—happens during and immediately after your interview.
But everyone is different. Some clients have no changes. Some have one. Some have five. That's exactly why you have 14 days of unlimited revisions.
If your first draft isn't what you expected:
- Share your feedback with your writer through your online workspace
- Be specific about what you'd like adjusted
- Trust that our format and style are intentional and proven
- Remember: you hired experts with 25 years of experience
Why We Don't Offer Refunds After Work Begins
Resume writing is a manual, time-intensive process. Our fees aren't just for the finished document—they cover the expertise, research, and strategic thinking that goes into positioning you for success.
From the moment you purchase:
- Your writer reviews your existing resume and materials
- They research your target roles and industry
- They prepare a customized interview plan
- They invest 30-90 minutes in your discovery interview
- They develop your unique positioning strategy
- They write and refine your documents
This work cannot be undone or reused for another client. That's why refunds aren't available once your discovery interview is complete.
When Things Aren't Working
You Made Changes and Stopped Getting Interviews
First, revert to the original—you can access it anytime in your online workspace. Often, well-intentioned edits undo the strategic positioning we built.
Common mistakes include:
- Trying to be a "jack of all trades" (diluting your focus)
- Removing accomplishments in favor of duties
- Reformatting in ways that break ATS compatibility
- Listening to one HR person's opinion over proven strategies
You're Applying But Not Getting Interviews
Getting interviews isn't just about having a great resume—it's about who you're competing against.
Ask yourself:
- Are you applying to the job titles we targeted?
- Do you meet the first two qualifications listed in the job posting? These are typically the most important.
- Do you meet at least 90% of the overall requirements?
- Are you applying consistently (10-15 positions per week minimum)?
Here's the reality:
If a role requires five key qualifications and another candidate has all five while you have three, they're getting the interview. That's not a resume problem—that's a targeting problem. Focus on roles where you're genuinely competitive.
